Proposals are invited for a Special Session organized by Université des Mascareignes, Pamplemousses, Mauritius in collaboration with Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar during the 6th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Intelligent Engineering (ICACIE 2021). This Special session will complement the regular technical program by highlighting new and emerging research topics or innovative applications of established approaches in areas such as Data Science, Big Data Analytics & Business Intelligence, which have dominated the attention of Industry, commerce, and the research world in recent years.

Université des Mascareignes (UdM) is the latest public university of the Republic of Mauritius launched in 2012 and aims to be the leading Higher Education Institution in the Indian Ocean. It has around 1100 local and international students and 60 academic staff distributed in three faculties:
The UdM has two campuses; the Swami Dayanand Campus at Pamplemousses and the Rose Hill Campus. UdM partners with Université de Limoges, France, to deliver double-degree. It follows a European system of higher education with the Licence-Maîtrise and Doctorate (Bachelor, Masters, and Ph.D.) pathway. UdM works in close collaboration with the Mauritian industry with a program meeting both demanding academic requirements and industry-related skills. All UdM programs include a compulsory component: industrial internship. Consequently, graduates of Université des Mascareignes have the unique potential of being highly employable or possess high skills to pursue further studies. In its endeavor to attain high academic standards, UdM collaborates with several international higher education institutions in the field of research and academic exchanges.
